Tess Hwayoung Lee brings a wealth of experience and expertise to ABION, having excelled in various key roles throughout her career. With nine years of experience as a sales and research associate in the financial field, she honed her analytical skills by meticulously studying the global market and analyzing the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. In 2015, she assumed the position of team leader at Medipost, where she spearheaded investor relations (IR) and played a pivotal role in investment management for four years.

Upon joining ABION in 2019, Ms. Lee swiftly ascended to the positions of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), and Vice President of Business Planning by 2022. In these leadership capacities, she oversees ABION’s financial operations, formulates strategic initiatives, and spearheads business planning efforts.

Ms. Lee’s educational background includes a major in business administration from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. She gained invaluable experience working with NH Investment Securities (previously Woori Investment Securities) Overseas Sales, where she facilitated equity brokerage for institutional fund managers across Asia for three years. Subsequently, she transitioned to roles as a researcher and analyst at Leading Investment & Securities and IBK Asset Management. During this time, she focused her analysis on companies within the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and retail sectors, earning recognition as the Best Analyst by Maeil Business News Korea.

In 2015, Ms. Lee assumed the crucial role of heading the Investor Relations (IR) team at Medipost. Her responsibilities included managing external communication, disclosure activities, and fund management, including organizing company visits, non-deal roadshows (NDRs), and conferences hosted by both domestic and international organizations. Her exceptional efforts earned her the prestigious Individual Achievement Award in 2018, recognizing her outstanding contributions to disclosure.

At ABION, Ms. Lee sets strategies for Investor Relations (IR) activities and pipeline development, leading the Strategic Planning Office since the company’s listing. She oversees the analysis of market trends and development strategies to support ABION’s strategic development. Ms. Lee made significant contributions to the listing on the KOSDAQ in 2021 and has successfully raised funds even in challenging market conditions. As the Executive Vice President and Head of the Corporate Planning Division, she is dedicated to working with employees to achieve ABION’s core objectives.
